Decorated with plates and maps. Incomplete copy of volume 5 of the Description ..., volume 4 is in a slightly different binding. The first two volumes, published in 1752, bear a different title: "Introduction à la description de la France ...", while the other 13 volumes, entitled "Nouvelle description de la France" and published in 1753-1754, contain descriptions of the provinces. With 31 maps and 21 folding plans.
