1595. HENRY IV. King Henri IV declares that P. CHAILLOU, secretary to the Chamber of Henri III was able to reside in Paris during the troubles without incurring the reproach of forfeiture or rebellion. May 3, 1595, parchment 28 x 50 cm. Signed "Henry". Pierre Chaillou, after serving as Receiver General of Finances in Paris, became Secretary to the King's Chamber (Joursanvault 1116).
